Skate Clown

One of my favorite color illustrations to date. This is entirely digital. I'm still hooked on the evil clowns from space idea. It's just funny to me. Funny ridiculous. Funny haha. Funny amusing, like a clown. Ya know?

So way back in the day I did some skating. I wasn't really that good at it but I tried. I was more interested in the art and illustration that came with the whole scene. Crazy skulls and crazy colors. And the music was great too.

Of course there was also the clothes, which had all of the great graphics on it too, just to make sure everyone knew who you were representing. Heck I had a pair of those black and white checkered slip on Vans® when they first came out. Out of respect for those old shoes I've put a pair of Vans® on this clown. I was checking out their newest styles and the polka dot ones caught my eye. They didn't have them in red though. And I thought this clown definitely needed red clown shoes, with polka dots. So I made him a custom pair of red and white polka dot Vans®. Well, in the digital world anyway.

Maybe Vans® will start making the red ones now.....maybe they'll call them "Fucking Clown Shoes". That'd be great. I'd buy a pair. And with that name, you'd have to be 18 years of age to buy them and show your i.d. That would make everyone mad and cause controversy which would lead to more sales. Negative publicity equals profits! Ok Vans®, hook me up, I've mentioned your name like 5 times here, and gave you a new idea for some shoes. Get in touch and put my illustration on some of your shirts or something!

The black and white pair, named "No Skool", that I used as reference can be seen here. They've got a cool 3d spin feature too so you can pretend you're a fly and fly around the shoe. Buzzzzzzzz.
