When I'm Man

This was one of my first serious oil paintings. By serious I mean I was beginning to take my Art seriously as a career and a gift and pursuing it with a new and appreciative view.

The questions and ideas that presented themselves after finishing this piece were; who am I? Part flesh and part tree. All nature. Preferring the night. Some light always showing through. Dark shadows. Always hiding a little. Feeling naked and maybe in an awkward space? Strangely intruiging?
