Appenzeller Spitzhauben

All hail the mighty cock, the Appenzeller Spitzhauben! I only wish I made up that name. It's really the name of this particular breed of rooster. I found it so intruiging that I had to do a portrait. Several weeks after I finished this portrait the actual owners of "Butch" (the roosters name) contacted me and told me how much they love the illustration I did of their rooster.

There's so much strange beauty in nature.
