Loss of Love and Religion

An illustration created to represent when all has been lost. No love, no religion, no life. Total despair. Commissioned to accompany a piece of dark poetry. Within the poetry was the line "....Jesus spiraling in the abyss... ". Represented in the bottom half of this illustration is just that. Notice the hand protruding with the nail through it. Of course there is also the argument that Jesus was nailed to the cross through his wrists, not his hands. Argue all you want.
