Apocalypse
pen and ink
This illustration was originally penned for a Chicago poet for a book of dark poetry. The idea here was to portray a woman who had broken his heart. She took away everything he had and left him feeling empty. His world was destroyed. So, an apocalypse seemed appropriate. This is my rendition in pen and ink.
In my vision for this illustration I saw wolves and serpent-like creatures. The woman creature and her collective beings are scorching the Earth with fire and seen here about to burn a church. The shadow cast shows an upside down crucifix which now leads the way.
